Toddler, Water Adjustment & Safety / Swim Lessons
Toddler Swim Lessons for 2 – 4 years old (ready to be in lessons w/o parent), 15 Minute Sessions
We all know how curious and impulsive toddlers can be. They can get themselves into trouble in a seeming blink of an eye. The joke about silence being golden, unless you have a toddler, is especially true if you have a pool or hot tub. Despite TV and movie depictions of a noisy, splashy, thrashing about while crying for help event, in reality, drowning happens nearly silently. Research shows that swimming lessons can reduce the risk of a toddler drowning by up to 88%!
Children under four, including babies, are the most at risk of accidental drowning. Most of these drownings occur at home, whether in the bathtub (ages one and under) or a backyard pool or hot tub. Formal swimming instruction can reduce the risk of drowning by up to 88% for children under four, making infant and toddler swim lessons an essential part of family water safety. This is especially true if you have a pool in your home, as over 72% of pool drownings occur at home.
Suppose your toddler has progressed beyond needing a parent in the water with them during lessons. In that case, Swim Tech offers a supportive, low-distraction environment where our instructors combine safety skills with age-appropriate swim instruction. Young children learn best through play, so our instructors make their swim lessons for toddlers challenging and fun through creative games and toys.
Your toddler’s one-on-one instruction at Swim Tech maximizes their safety during their time in our pool and allows for a very individualized approach to lesson planning. Our instructors progress at your child’s pace, focusing on developing skills, and reinforcing with positive feedback and encouragement. This way, your toddler learns safety and swimming skills, helping them instinctively react appropriately in the event of an emergency while enjoying the experience of being in the water.
Babies & not-yet-trained toddlers are required to wear a swim diaper.

FIT AROUND YOUR SCHEDULE
Parent’s (and children’s) schedules are busy, and it’s often a struggle to fit in swimming lessons. Traditional swim lesson programs follow a set, rigid schedule by design and necessity. At Swim Tech, our instructors are available at various times, weekdays and weekends, providing lessons at a time convenient for you with no weather delays/cancellations.
