During Coach Gravley’s tenure as an athlete, he was a Pan American Games Gold Medalist, a 2-time National Champion in the Men’s U.S. Nationals 5k Open Water, and a 2-time U.S. National Champion in the 10k. Brennan has also been a part of three World Championship teams over the last two Olympic cycles, and has represented the U.S. National Team since 2018. Before his success in Open Water, Brennan represented the University of Florida at SEC’s and won bronze in the Men’s 1650 Freestyle in 2020. He was also a finalist in the 1500 Meter Freestyle at the 2021 U.S. Olympic Trials. Born and raised in the city of Las Vegas, Coach Gravley was a member of the Sandpipers of Nevada age-group club for 15 years, training under famed-age group coach Ron Aitken. Inspired by his love for the sport, Brennan began taking on private lessons in high school, and began doing group lessons and coaching during his collegiate years. As a coach, Brennan strives to bring the best out of his athletes, and further helps them to actualize their true potential.
